In the Burn the Bitches series, Tracy Satchwill confronts the vilification of women who deviate from cultural norms—those often labelled as witches or monstrous beings. By reimagining these figures as powerful and unapologetically liberated, Satchwill challenges societal narratives that marginalise the "othered" woman.
This work reflects a deeply personal exploration of embracing the shadow self, offering a bold commentary on identity, autonomy, and the reclamation of power.
‘Being the monster feels powerful. They don’t need to be nice. They can unsettle people just for being different, for not fitting in.’
