We Are Longing to Dance Series, collage, 2024

In the collages, Tracy Satchwill explores women's self-expression, in which female figures are represented by contradictory messages of restriction, oppression and the desire for freedom and escapism. She titles each woman with a virtue name, which is commonly given to girls by parents, who wish their children to embody or be associated with the moral standard.
