Hush Little Wildlings

Hush Little Wildlings is a series of small mixed-media works exploring feminine power, value, and connection to the Earth. Each piece was created through an intuitive process, using delicate watercolour washes layered with inks, pencils, and gel pen marks to build a sense of depth and quiet energy.

The series continues my ongoing interest in the feminine as both sacred and untamed, part woman, part plant, part creature. These figures emerged instinctively rather than from prior research, allowing gesture, texture, and material to guide their formation. Working at this intimate scale offered a space to experiment freely with mark-making, colour, and surface.
